Timo Stewart

Timo R. Stewart is a Senior Research Fellow at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA). Stewart earned his PhD in political history at the University of Helsinki and his work has focused on the history of ideas, political religion and European relations with the Middle East. Stewart’s book on the Finnish archaeologist and treasure hunter Valter Juvelius and the Parker Expedition in late Ottoman Jerusalem won the Lauri Jäntti Prize for non-fiction and was shortlisted for the Finlandia Prize in 2020. His latest book on the history of Finnish Christian Zionism is coming out in September 2022.
