Thomas Hicks, Jr.
Thomas Hicks, Jr., an Atlanta native, embraces his city despite the scorching heat that accompanies July and August each year. With over three decades of experience in healthcare Information Technology (I.T.), specializing in revenue cycle applications for hospital and professional billing, Thomas thrives on the challenges that come with each new client.
His work in I.T. has taken him to various client sites across the United States, including memorable assignments in Honolulu, Hawaii; New York City; and Victoria, British Columbia. However, Thomas’s true passion lies in the fine arts, particularly the romantic era of classical music. As an enthusiastic patron of the arts and a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, he eagerly attends outings with his family to enjoy performances by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Having had the privilege of attending shows at prestigious venues such as New York City’s Metropolitan Opera and Chicago’s Lyric Opera, Thomas gained extensive knowledge about classical music during his time as an announcer, producer, and programmer at Atlanta’s N.P.R. affiliate 90.1 WABE.
In addition to his love for music and culture, Thomas finds joy in domestic and international travel. While he has explored much of the United States already, he feels fortunate to have visited breathtaking locations across Asia, Europe, and South America. His ultimate goal is to set foot on every continent—a bucket list adventure awaiting him.
Politically inclined towards leaders who prioritize policies benefiting working-class individuals,
Thomas leans leftward due to recent years’ experiences. He supports those who propose and implement measures aimed at uplifting this demographic.
With a rich tapestry woven from diverse interests—ranging from I.T., fine arts appreciation,
and globetrotting adventures—Thomas Hicks Jr.’s life reflects a vibrant blend of professional accomplishments, cultural passions, and political leanings that shape his unique perspective on life.
