Jesse Kauffman PhD.

Professor of History- Eastern Michigan University

Jesse Kauffman earned his PhD in Modern European History at Stanford and is currently Professor of History at Eastern Michigan University. He specializes in German and Central European military and political history. His first book, Elusive Alliance: The German Occupation of Poland in World War I, was published in 2015 by Harvard University Press. His next book, Blood-Dimmed Tide: Central Europe’s Long Great War, 1905-1921 is under contract with Harvard and will appear in 2024.
