Dr. Adnan Munkarah

Dr. Adnan Munkarah, M.D., is President, Clinical Enterprise & Chief Physician Executive at Henry Ford Health, where he oversees the health system’s full clinical and operational enterprise — five acute care hospitals, 200 ambulatory sites, 3,500 physicians, and a $4 billion budget. He drives strategic growth, clinical excellence, quality, safety, and innovation across the organization, including leadership of the $3 billion Future of Health project with Michigan State University, the Detroit Pistons, and the Gilbert Family Foundation.

A board-certified gynecologic oncologist, Munkarah has authored more than 165 published articles and book chapters and remains active as a researcher and educator. He earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Wayne State University, and finished his fellowship in gynecologic oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

He serves on the boards of Health Alliance Plan (HAP) and the American Medical Group Association, and was named one of Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives in 2025.
