Michael Webber
Michigan State Senator, 9th District
Michael Webber is a Republican member of the Michigan Senate, representing the 9th District, which includes Rochester, Rochester Hills, Troy, and Utica, along with parts of Oakland Township, Shelby Township, and Sterling Heights. Born March 7, 1978, in Santa Monica, California, he has lived in the district for more than 30 years and graduated from Rochester Adams High School before earning a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Michigan State University’s James Madison College. Webber began his public service on the Rochester Hills City Council from 2007 to 2014, then served three terms in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2015 to 2020, chairing the House Committee on Regulatory Reform. Elected to the State Senate in 2022, he sits on the Health Policy, Economic and Community Development, and Regulatory Affairs committees. A licensed insurance agent since 2010, Webber lives in Rochester Hills with his wife, Julia, and son, James.
