Dr. Imamu “Mu” Tomlinson, MD, MBA, is a board-certified emergency physician, healthcare CEO, and passionate advocate for health equity. As CEO of Vituity, one of America’s largest physician-led partnerships, he oversees care delivery to more than 13 million patients annually across 300+ locations in 27 states. A first-generation college graduate of Jamaican descent and former athlete, Mu rose from frontline emergency medicine to executive leadership — bringing a rare, grounded perspective to healthcare innovation.

He also serves as founder and board chair of the Vituity Cares Foundation, which provides free community health services and mentorship for the next generation of diverse clinical leaders. Named to Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives for 2026, Dr. Tomlinson is also the author of Less Than One Percent: How Disruptors Defy the Odds.
