Tom Deiters
Dr. Thomas E. Dieters is Board President of Charitable Gift America, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Prior to founding the charity, Dr. Dieters led a charitable services program at a national financial institution. Dr. Dieters has created several of the most efficient ways for donors to
get their philanthropic dollars to their favorite charities.
Tom’s experience in the non-profit sector spans two decades including the positions of Associate Director of Planned Giving at Michigan State University, Executive Director of Planned Giving at the
University of Miami and Vice President for Advancement at Nova Southeastern University. The educational background for Dr. Dieters includes a Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State
University, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-profit Management from the University of Miami, and a Doctorate Degree from Nova Southeastern
University in Education with again, a concentration in Non-profit Management.
The unique combined professional experience on both the non-profit and for-profit sectors provides a perspective that is valuable to philanthropists, legal and tax experts, finance and non-
profit organizations.
At Michigan State University, Tom won four varsity letters in baseball and was drafted by the
Chicago White Sox. Tom currently resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida with his wife Valerie and children Maria and Jackson.
